A carp fishing chair earns its place when it fits the swim: the particular stretch of bank where you set up, watch your rods and move between tackle, net and shelter. This is a different buying problem from finding a general camp seat. Seat height under a bivvy, independent leg adjustment and the shape of the folded package can matter more than a cup holder or a dramatic maximum-load claim.

Our three specialist candidates are the Fox Duralite Recliner Chair CBC120 for documented three-position reclining, the Sonik BANK-TEK Combi Chair EC0024 for its higher 40 cm seat and flat transport package, and the Korda Compac Low Chair for a low-profile concertina design. All have manufacturer documentation and US retailer listings. Stock is conditional: the checked Big Carp Tackle pages display sold-out text alongside shopping controls, so this guide does not promise immediate US availability. Confirm the exact unit with the retailer before paying.

Product documentation checked November 6, 2026: Fox Duralite Recliner Chair CBC120 official specifications, Sonik BANK-TEK Combi Chair EC0024 dimensions, Sonik 2025 trade catalogue: BANK-TEK chair capacities, page 56, Korda Compac Low Chair official dimensions and construction, US retailer listing: Fox Duralite Recliner Chair, US retailer listing: Sonik BANK-TEK Combi Chair, US retailer listing: Korda Compac Low Chair. The model-specific comparison below uses those published details rather than physical tests.
1. Fox Duralite Recliner Chair CBC120
Best for: For documented reclining positions.
The CBC120 is the first candidate when you want three back-angle positions in a relatively light specialist chair.
Fox publishes 3.2 kg weight, a 150 kg rating and 32–40 cm seat height. Its 45 cm seat depth is explicit. Allow extra room behind the chair for the intended reclining position.

Choose after checking the low seat range, recline space and exact product code.
2. Sonik BANK-TEK Combi Chair EC0024
Best for: For a measured flat package.
The EC0024 is useful to compare when your barrow or vehicle has a broad, thin storage space.
Its 56 ×73 ×14 cm transport dimensions are unusually useful planning information. The published 4.6 kg weight and 40 cm seat height differ from the lower Fox positions. The 2025 official catalogue lists 110 kg maximum capacity.

Choose for the actual package fit and seat height, not merely the Combi name.
3. Korda Compac Low Chair
Best for: Low-profile concertina candidate.
Korda’s Compac Low Chair provides a different fold pattern with padded arms and a headrest.
Its manufacturer lists 3.75 kg weight and 600D fabric. The public overall dimensions do not identify a usable seat-height figure, and no occupant limit was stated on the checked page.

Keep it conditional until the supplier answers your critical fit and load questions.
Start with the activity, then choose the posture
Write down what you do while seated. If you tie rigs and prepare bait on your lap, a deep recline is of little use during that task. If you watch the water from under a low shelter edge, a tall back and higher seat can obstruct the view. If you repeatedly stand to attend your rods, the position from which you rise deserves its own trial. There is no single carp-fishing posture that every chair must reproduce.
The Fox provides an explicit reclining distinction: three positions. That makes it the first model to examine when you want to change the back angle while remaining in a supported sitting position. It does not become a bedchair or a sleep system. A full back-angle adjustment also changes the space behind you, so check it before placing the chair hard against shelter fabric or a bank-side obstruction.
The Sonik’s published seat height is 40 cm, approximately 15.7 inches. Fox lists 32–40 cm, approximately 12.6–15.7 inches. At their stated maximum, those figures meet; the difference is that Fox documents a lower range while Sonik supplies a single seat-height figure. We do not reinterpret Sonik’s adjustable front legs as an undocumented full seat-height range. Nor does a taller seat automatically make standing easier for every person.
Korda describes its Compac as a low-profile chair for looking out from a bivvy, but the primary page does not identify a numeric seat height. Its overall 60 by 72 by 72 cm dimensions are not a substitute. If you need a specific knee angle or minimum height, request a measured seat drawing. The low-chair name is a design clue, not enough information for a strict fit decision.
Compare the carp-chair measurements that actually correspond
Manufacturer tables use similar words for different measurements. Fox lists 51 cm width, 45 cm seat depth and 51 cm back height for the CBC120. Sonik is more explicit about seat width 50 cm, seat depth 45 cm and back height 56 cm. Korda publishes an overall dimension triplet without labelled axes. A comparison that puts all three first numbers in a column called usable seat width would invent equivalence.
The two explicitly identified seat depths do match at 45 cm, around 17.7 inches. That is a useful starting point for a personal trial, not a conclusion that the seats feel identical. Padding thickness, the front edge, recline and the shape of the side supports can change where your body settles. Wear your usual bank clothing and put only normal belongings in your pockets when checking fit.
Back height needs similar care. It is not total chair height above the ground. A51 cm back-height figure does not tell you how high the chair reaches when its seat is adjusted. To plan under a shelter, obtain the overall height in your intended position. To assess body support, compare where the back reaches on you. Those are two separate questions that may require different measurements.
The published load limits also differ. Fox rates this recliner to 150 kg, approximately 330.7 lb. Sonik’s 2025 trade catalogue gives 110 kg, approximately 242.5 lb, for EC0024. Confirm the current delivered label before buying, particularly if a retailer omits the rating. Korda’s checked primary page does not publish a limit. We exclude it from recommendations for any specified user weight until that information is supplied; material choice and a sturdy appearance cannot establish capacity.
A folded-package worksheet for your barrow and vehicle
For a specialist carp setup, a chair often shares transport space with long rod luggage, a shelter and a bedchair. The important question is which shape remains after you fold it. A thin broad panel can fit in a gap that rejects a narrow long bundle, while a concertina package may work better beside other equipment. The manufacturer’s description alone cannot tell you which space is available in your kit.
Sonik gives the clearest package drawing inputs here:56 by 73 by 14 cm, approximately 22.0 by 28.7 by 5.5 inches. Make a cardboard or paper rectangle 56 by 73 cm and mark the 14 cm thickness separately. Hold it against the intended vehicle opening or barrow space. Leave allowance for hinges, straps and any carrying bag rather than treating a perfect dimensional match as a promise that the chair will slide into place.
A worked example shows why the long side matters. A hypothetical storage recess 60 cm wide and 75 cm long appears to accommodate the 56 by 73 cm panel, leaving 4 cm and 2 cm respectively. Those small differences do not account for curved corners, an angled opening or other luggage. If the opening is only 70 cm long, the 73 cm dimension fails in that orientation even though the total storage volume seems generous. Turning the package may help only if the other dimensions and access route also work.
For Fox and Korda, record folded measurements as pending until the supplier gives them for the exact chair. Korda’s concertina description supports expecting a different fold pattern, but we have not converted its deployed overall dimensions into a packed bundle. Fox’s 3.2 kg published chair weight is not a shipping-package dimension. Do not use the same data cell to answer questions about mass and shape.
Then add a carry-mass line. Using the published chair figures, Fox is about 7.1 lb, Korda 8.3 lb and Sonik 10.1 lb. The difference between the lightest and heaviest is roughly 3.1 lb after rounding. Whether that matters depends on the entire kit and route. These conversions are arithmetic, not carrying tests. Ask whether a quoted delivery weight includes a box before treating it as the chair’s weight.
| Transport worksheet | Known input | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Sonik folded panel | 56 ×73 ×14 cm | Opening shape plus usable thickness |
| Fox CBC120 | 3.2 kg published chair mass | Get folded geometry and bag information |
| Korda Compac Low | 3.75 kg published chair mass | Get actual concertina bundle dimensions |
| Whole kit | Add chair to your existing weighed load | Avoid counting equipment twice |
| Arrival routine | Where chair is removed from packed kit | Do not bury urgent equipment behind it |
Arrange the swim around a clear route to the rods
Sketch the chair, rod-support area, net, tackle and shelter entrance as separate objects. Leave a direct walking route from the chair toward the rods and an ordinary place to stand before you handle a rod. A chair selected only for its view may end up with a rod pod crossbar across your first step. Solve that layout before choosing a larger or more deeply reclining seat.
Position frequently handled rig materials within an ordinary reach that does not require leaning beyond the frame. Put the landing net where you can retrieve it without dragging its handle through the chair’s legs. Keep sharp tools and exposed hooks away from upholstery and from the route your hands use to fold the chair. These are layout decisions; buying additional side pockets is not a substitute for making them.
Each chair has adjustable leg features, but those features do not make every swim suitable. Fox documents locking adjustable legs and swivelling mud feet. Sonik documents adjustable front legs and lock-out systems; Korda lists adjustable front legs and mud feet. None of that certifies eroded edges, unstable soil or a steep slope. Follow the current instructions and choose sound supporting ground rather than improvising extensions or propping feet on loose objects.
Sonik also describes the Combi frame as usable beside an AXS Levelbed. That is a specific compatibility claim worth following up if it is central to your plan. It does not establish compatibility with every bedchair, and we do not recommend resting a generic chair on a bed frame. Obtain the manufacturer’s current setup instructions for the actual pairing. Otherwise, evaluate the Sonik as an independent bank chair.
Specialist imports need a precise US buying check
These are European-designed specialist products with US listings, so availability deserves more attention than a search-result price. The US Fox listing, US Sonik listing and US Korda listing establish that the models are listed by a US-facing dealer. They do not establish that stock is ready to dispatch to your address. Ask the seller to confirm inventory, correct product code and expected dispatch before organizing a trip around delivery.
Use CBC120 for the Fox recliner and EC0024 for the Sonik Combi when comparing details. A standard Duralite, Duralite Low, recliner armchair or another BANK-TEK model can have different dimensions and limits. A seller’s photo of the entire family should not decide which specifications apply. For Korda, confirm the exact Compac Low Chair version and its current label, including any load rating absent from the public product page.
Also check the practical return route and access to replacement parts. A chair that must be shipped internationally for a fit return creates a different purchase from domestic stock. We have not assumed an international warranty transfer or a free return for any of these models. Verify the written terms for the seller you choose rather than relying on the brand’s domestic-country policy.
The best decision comes from resolving one real constraint. Choose Fox when changing back angle and its documented low height range matter, Sonik when the 40 cm seat and measured flat package suit your kit, or Korda when its concertina low-profile arrangement passes a personal fit check and the missing capacity is resolved. None changes catch rates or replaces a comfortable, workable bank layout. If stock or essential specifications remain uncertain, keep the shortlist and delay the purchase rather than substituting a vaguely similar chair.
