The form uses a security token, a hidden spam field, and temporary rate limiting. Rate limiting uses a salted hash derived from the connection IP address; the contact form does not save the raw IP address in the message record. The temporary limit expires after an hour. Hosting logs may separately record connection information.

Cookies and administration

WordPress uses cookies for signed-in administration and login checks. The contact form uses a form security token. We do not require readers to create an account to read articles or send a message. Article comments are closed at launch.

Links to other websites

Articles may link to Amazon, other retailers, manufacturers, and reference websites. Those services operate under their own privacy policies. Clicking an affiliate link may allow the destination or affiliate service to associate a purchase with the referral and use cookies or similar technologies under its own terms. We do not receive your retailer password or payment details.

Access, retention, and requests

Contact messages are accessible to authorized website administrators. We use the details to deal with the request, rather than publishing them. Records may remain until administrators remove them; this site does not promise a fixed automatic deletion period. Hosting backups may retain earlier copies for their backup lifecycle.

We may ask you to verify control of the relevant email address before disclosing or deleting records. Some technical or security records may need to be retained for operational or legal reasons.
